Support comes in many forms, and sometimes what is needed is that sense of community that was lost.   Check out some of the resources below, that specialize in forming that new community and providing support with and by people who have been where you are.

Seth Dvorin, a childhood friend of the GI Go founders who was killed by an IED blast while serving in Iraq.   We provide employment assistance to veterans looking for work, housing and financial aid to veterans in their most desperate hour, as well as benefits assistance and legal support to military families struggling with civil or criminal matters. Recon & Sniper Foundation (RSF) - https://www.reconsniperfoundation.org   The Recon & Sniper Foundation was founded in 2015 by a group of Recon Marines, Scout Snipers, and Navy SARCs.  The Foundation's mission is twofold, emergency assistance and veteran community engagement. We assist current service members and veterans from all branches of the Armed Forces. Assistance can be in the form of financial help, peer counseling, mental health treatment, or any other feasible and viable form of aid. Emergency requests are submitted via the Recon & Sniper Foundation website and assessed by experienced case managers, who ensure the request for assistance is legitimate.  In addition to the mission of emergency assistance, the Recon & Sniper Foundation also provides various preventative mental health events throughout the year. From individual and group therapy in the mountains of Colorado at Rawah Ranch to veteran get-togethers in southern California, the Foundation provides veterans with a variety of ways to address their mental health, emphasizing prevention and long-term care.

Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors ~ https://www.taps.org  (800)959-8277  (24/7 support)   “TAPS provides compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a military loved one.   Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24/7 through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones.  TAPS provides a variety of programs to survivors nationally and worldwide. Our National Military Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp has been held annually in Washington, D.C., over Memorial Day weekend since 1994. Our organization supports wounded veterans and their families, even after physical needs are met, to help them heal, recover and reconnect. We work to provide services and resources to combat-wounded veterans and their families that supplement those provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs and other agencies. We also work with military and nonprofit partners to identify and fill gaps in services for wounded veterans and their families. "
